Looking for a Tradify alternative?

An honest comparison — where Larzo fits, and where Tradify is genuinely the better tool.

If you're weighing up Tradify, the honest answer is that it depends on what you actually need — and the two tools are built for different things. Tradify is a full job-management platform. Larzo is focused on getting a professional quote out fast, getting paid, and keeping the money side in order. This page lays out the difference plainly so you can pick the right one, not just the one with the loudest marketing.

The short version

  • Choose Tradify if you run a team, need to schedule jobs across people, track timesheets and subcontractors, and want deep job management.
  • Choose Larzo if you're a sole trader or small operator who wants to quote in two minutes, get paid, and have your invoices, expenses and MTD records handled — without paying per user for features you won't use.

Tradify figures are their published UK list prices as of July 2026 — Lite £34, Pro £37 and Plus £44 per user, per month. Prices and tiers change, so check Tradify's pricing page rather than taking our word for it. Larzo also does things this table doesn't cover — a customer portal where your client views the quote and accepts it with a typed e-signature, and monthly records for your accountant.

What Tradify is

Tradify is a well-established job-management platform for tradespeople, owned by The Access Group since 2024. It's strong at the things a growing business with staff needs: job scheduling, quoting and invoicing, timesheets, subcontractor scheduling, purchase orders, and reporting. It's priced per user, which suits teams. If that's the shape of your business, it's a serious, capable tool and worth a look.

What Larzo is

Larzo is deliberately narrower and built for the sole trader. It does the quote-to-invoice-to-paid loop, fast, on a phone:

  • A professional quote in about two minutes — describe the job, the AI writes the description of works, you set the prices, and it goes out as a PDF on WhatsApp.
  • A customer quote portal — your client views the quote on one page and accepts it with a typed e-signature, so you've got a clear record of what was agreed.
  • The money side, automatically — invoicing, receipt capture, and a clean monthly set of financial records emailed to your accountant, ready for Making Tax Digital.
  • One flat price, free to start — for your whole business, not per user.

Where Tradify is the better choice

Being straight about this matters. If any of these are you, Tradify is likely the better fit and Larzo isn't trying to be:

  • You employ staff or use subcontractors and need to schedule their work.
  • You track time against jobs with timesheets.
  • You manage larger projects with tasks, purchase orders and stages.
  • You want one platform to run the whole operation, and you're happy to pay per user for it.

The honest trade-off is that breadth comes with complexity. A full job-management platform is something you set up, configure and learn — there's more to switch on, more to get your head (and your team's) around, and more time before it starts paying you back. If your business genuinely needs all of it, that's time well spent. If it doesn't, it's overhead you'll feel every day, for features you never turn on.

Larzo is the opposite bet: it does less, so there's almost nothing to learn. You can send a quote within minutes of signing up — before you've set anything up at all. Add your logo, details and prices when you want the quote to look fully yours; it takes a couple of minutes and none of it is a barrier to getting started. No configuration project, no training. That's the deliberate choice, not a missing feature list. It's a focused tool, not a suite.

Where Larzo fits better

  • You're a one-person business, or close to it, and a per-user platform is more than you need.
  • Your bottleneck is getting quotes out fast and looking professional, not managing a schedule.
  • You want the money and tax side — invoices, expenses, MTD records for your accountant — handled without thinking about it.
  • You'd rather one flat price than pay per seat.

A note on price

Two things matter here: the headline number, and which tier you actually end up needing.

On Tradify's published UK pricing (July 2026), the entry tier is £34 per user, per month. Larzo is £24 a month for your whole business. For a one-person operation that is already the cheaper option, and the gap widens with every person you add — because one of those numbers is multiplied by headcount and the other isn't.

The tier question is the one people miss. On Tradify's own feature lists, putting your own logo on a quote sits on the Pro tier at £37 per user per month, and the AI features — reading bills, writing descriptions — sit on Plus at £44. Larzo includes branding and AI-written descriptions of works in the one £24 price. So the fair comparison for a sole trader who wants branded quotes and the AI is nearer £44 a month than £34.

Where that flips: if you run a team and genuinely need scheduling, timesheets and subcontractor management, you are buying a different category of product and per-user pricing is the normal shape of it. Paying £37 a head for something you use every day across five people is not expensive — it's just not what a sole trader needs.

Both tools' prices change. Check Tradify's current pricing against your own situation rather than trusting a headline figure from anyone, us included.

Questions, answered

Is Larzo cheaper than Tradify?

It depends on your setup, so check both current prices before deciding. The structural difference is that Tradify charges per user, while Larzo is one flat price for your business with a free trial to start. For a one-person operation the maths is different than for a team — work it out for your own situation rather than taking anyone's headline figure.

What does Larzo do that Tradify is not focused on?

Larzo is built around getting a professional quote out in about two minutes, a customer quote portal where clients accept and e-sign, and the money side — invoicing, expense capture, and automatic monthly financial reports emailed to your accountant, ready for Making Tax Digital. It is deliberately focused on quote-to-invoice-to-paid rather than full job management.

When is Tradify the better choice?

If you run a team, need to schedule jobs across people, track staff timesheets, manage subcontractors and purchase orders, or want deep job/project management, Tradify is built for that and Larzo is not. It is a mature, well-backed platform for growing trade businesses.

Can I move from Tradify to Larzo easily?

Larzo is simple to start — you can send a quote within minutes of signing up, before you have set anything up. Adding your logo, business details and prices takes a couple of minutes when you want a quote that looks fully yours, but none of it is required first. There is no migration project because Larzo does a focused job.
